Vertical Antenna Separation Calculator

The calculator estimates signal isolation between vertically separated antennas based on physical distance and operating frequency. It allows RF engineers and technicians to analyze signal loss using either standard theoretical calculations or empirical field data of the antennas installed on a tower.

How to Use
  • Select the Calculation Mode:

  • Use Formula: Calculates theoretical separation loss using mathematical propagation models.

  • Measured Results: Uses real-world empirical data measured at 40, 150, 450, and 850 MHz.

  • Define Separation Distances:

  • Enter up to 4 distinct separation distances.

  • Pick which separation distance you want to evaluate from your list.

  • Specify Frequencies:

  • Input up to 8 frequencies you want to test.

  • Evaluate Results:

  • View the resulting signal loss (in dB) generated for each specified frequency at the selected separation distance.
